About Us

Mike Stewart is Owner and President of Stewart Aviation Consulting Group in Seattle, Washington. Following a 40-year career at Boeing, that included positions in several different functional organizations and several international assignments, he established his consulting company, specializing primarily in major modification, freighter conversion and engineering/certification services. His final assignment at Boeing was as Vice President of Freighter Conversion Programs, and that led him into the world of freighter aircraft and air cargo. Mike is a member of ISTAT and cargofacts.net and is also a Senior Advisor for Draco Aerosystems. He is also a member of the Seattle University Alumni Association Board of Governors.
Mike was born in Wichita, Kansas, began his Boeing career there in 1966 and graduated from Wichita State University. He transferred to Seattle in the early days of the 747 program, and has a Master's Degree from Seattle University. Mike and his wife Joanne live in Seattle, near their two children and five grandchildren. Since retirement from Boeing, they have also started a second company, raising a rare breed of cattle, on a family farm near Seattle.
